August Stats – Part I: Drinks

I don’t know what happened. I really cannot explain why I slacked on the updating on my food and drink stats. My best guess is work. We started back up on our school accounts. They are a very tedious process and take all the life from me. That really isn’t an excuse. I do have days off. Lately, I have been blogging about the most random crap imaginable. I have finally decided to make the day that I return to getting updated with my stats. I am going to be posting one everyday. I say that now but come tomorrow, I’ll forget and get even further behind. Anyway, on with the stats.

Oh, and since I am behind, I am probably going to switch up the format I normally did. Being so far behind, I am not sure what I had for lunch or for breakfast. Maybe next month, I’ll go back to the way it was. Till then, I am doing it half-assed.

Coffee:

I had a total of 66 coffees. That is more than I had in the month of July. I still enjoy my cop of java in the morning and if I am off, I’ll fix me a cup or I head to Starbucks for a little something stronger.

  • 4 of those coffees were from Starbucks. I was on vacation during this month. I wasn’t really for running around. I tended to be a recluse. Sure, I went out sometimes. But I stayed home and brewed my own. Which is why,
  • 19 of those were Folger’s instant coffee.
  • 10 were had at Bob Evans. The 10 I drank were had during my 3 visits to my favorite breakfast place.
  • Finishing off the rest of my coffee, I had a total of 33 cups of coffee at work. Most days, I have two cups. There have been times I only have one. There’s been the rare occasions when I have 3. I get pretty wired on three. Too much coffee and it makes me jittery.

Soda:

I am sorry. I love soda far too much to ever quit drinking it. As I was writing up the stats for the month of August, I was appalled at the amount I drank that month. I could slow down on drinking it. Ha. Like that’ll happen. During the month of August, I had a grand total of 62 sodas. Like normal,

  • 58 were Coke
    • 21 were had at work.
    • 31 were cans of coke.
    • 4 were the 20 oz plastic bottles of coke
    • 1 was a large Burger King coke.
    • 1 was had at the movies when I went to see, “Inception”
  • 4 were Pepsi
    • 1 was a can of Pepsi
    • The last 3 were from take-out.
      • 2 from Popeye’s Chicken
      • 1 was from Ming Garden

Juice:

I like juice. I am just not a very big juice drinker. When the year started, I was pretty good at having a juice about every few days. But that time has passed. I am back to skipping the juice and just going with the coffee.I had a measly 8 glasses of juice.

  • 3 were Orange Juices had at Bob Evans.
  • 3 were tall glasses of Minute Maid Orange Juices had at home.
  • The last 2, were 16 oz. bottles had at work.

Alcohol:

This is a given. I don’t think there is a week that goes by without me drinking someone bad for my liver. For the month of August, I had 77 alcoholic beverages.

  • 72 were Bud Lights
    • 15 were had at the Bars
    • The other 57 were bud light bottles I had at home or at a friends house.
  • 2 were Coronas
  • 2 were Miller Lights
  • 1 was a Natty Light

I am still in awe that I haven’t drank Captain Morgan in such a long time. I best be getting around to it again. I have 2 bottles sitting on my fridge. Soon. I’ll drink them soon.

Etc…

This is the rest of the crap I drank during the month of August. I did drink water but compared to the month of July, it doesn’t compare. If I would have drank more of nature’s beverage, I’d have put it in its’ own category.

  • 10 8 oz tumblers of water
  • 1 32 oz. Powerade Fruit Punch
  • 7 Chocolate Milk Pints
  • 4 Tall glasses of Lemonade

There are the stats for the month of August. I will do my best to post the food I ate for this month tomorrow. Believe me, I hit myself every night for not keeping up to date with all this. I don’t like falling behind. There are plenty of post I am wanting to share but these have to get finished before I go out and change the subject again. Thank you for reading. I’ll see you next time.

July Stats – Part I: Drinks

I would like to apologize about my lack of updating. I am on a hiatus. Or, I was. I will explain it later in a some to come post. I had many chances to post the stats but I just didn’t have the urge to. I just kept saying, “tomorrow. I’ll do it tomorrow.” Guess I was wrong. Now, after 2 weeks, I finally found the energy I needed to get this posted. I will get the six months stats posted. I just have slacked on that too. Anyway, here are the stats from last month.

Coffee:

This is a shocker. I had only 48 coffees this month. This is the lowest number I have had all year for coffee. I don’t know why. I have been coming in later to work than normal. Maybe that is a reason why. It’s okay. I am sure next month (August) will be back to normal. I need my coffee. I like my coffee. It’s my drug. Let’s see where each of those cups came from.

  • 15 of those were from Starbucks. More than last month. I only had 9 last month. I have been finding myself going their more than usual. Not a big deal. I was just happy I was cutting back on it.
  • Normally, I can have close to 40 cups of coffee from work. This time around, I only had 20 of the small cups of coffee from work. That is a huge difference from the normal. Last month, I had close to 50. 47 to be exact. What on earth did I do to totally eff up my normal intake?
  • The last of my coffee came from Bob Evans. I made 4 trips there. From all the refilling and my carefully and precise calculations, I had 13 cups of coffee from Bob. Which is about right. I have about 3 cups per visit.

Soda:

Still my weakness. Something I doubt I will ever kick to the side. Gal at work is already at 2 weeks. Maybe less, maybe more. Still, she’s doing fantastic. I did it for a week. It wasn’t what was killing me. I thought it was. So since I took the caffeine out of the ‘why am I dying’ pile, I went back to over indulging in the sweet, sweet soda. Aside from my unnecessary babble, I had a grand total of  63. Sheet! It went up from last month. Even if you include the week without soda, it’s still more.

  • 58 were Cokes.
    • 25 of those were had at work.
    • 25 were cans of Coke.
    • 3 were from McDonald’s. All large sizes.
    • 1 was from Burger King. If I was to edit the total amount of soda, it would be 62 3/4. I really only drank 3/4 of the coke from Burger King.
    • 3 were the 20 oz. plastic bottles of coke.
    • 1 was at the movies. I saw, “Dinner for Schmucks“.
  • 5 were Pepsi’s.
    • 2 were had at Pizza Street. Just a one time visit. Went back for a second cup.
    • 1 was had at Philly Time.
    • 1 was had at Ming Garden.
    • 1 was a can of Diet Pepsi.

Juice:

Not much just this month. I only had 7.

  • 4 of those juices were Orange Juices I had at Bob Evans.
  • 1 was a small minute maid juice I had at work.
  • 2 small servings of a punch we made at work one day. It consisted of (squirt, hawaiian punch, pineapple juice)

Water:

I don’t know why I am bothering putting water on the list. Maybe I feel I need to as a reminder that I need to keep drinking it. I have been drinking it. I take it when I take a pill. I ran out of the pills last month. I just don’t drink water now. Oh well. For the month of July, I had a total of 27 waters.

  • 1 was at the local bar. It must have been a crazy night. I bet it was.
  • 17 were had at home after I took a pill or if I was being good, a glass before bed.
  • 9 were at work. I was outside, working in the heat.
    • 3 were 20oz. sizes.
    • 6 were 10oz. sizes.

Alcohol:

Look at me. Every month, I get closer to killing my liver. I am sure if I was to ever meet my liver on the street, he’d kick my ace. I had a total of 68 beers. Compared to last month, I had 43 more this month.

  • 65 were my favorite beer, Bud Light.
    • 58 of those were long neck bottles. I don’t like cans.
    • 7 were had at the local hangout, 54th Street.
      • 5 were the tall mugs.
      • 2 were the smaller mugs. I tend to always get one more and the last one is always a small mug.
  • 2 were Coor’s light bottles.
  • 1 was a Miller light bottle.

I haven’t had Captain Morgan is such a long time. I need to get back to it. The bottles are still sitting on the top of my fridge. Maybe I’ll get the balls to dabble in the delicious rum I once craved all the time.

Etc…

To finish of the list,

  • 3 were the 32oz. size Fruit Punch Powerades.
  • 1 was a pint size of Belfonte Chocolate Milk.

There you go, kiddies! I know you were all wondering what the eff I drank last month. Above is the crap I put into my body. Make sure you click on the next post to see the food I ate.

Cream Corn Taco Shake

Or, “I’m Not From The God Damn South Shake

During a yahoo chat one night, a few of my friends helped create a shake. The shake includes a few of my favorite things. While I was on a 6 months hiatus from drinking (not by choice), we all waited patiently till I could finally make and drink the shake. With help from my sister, we shot the video one early evening. That night, after drinking some of the shake, I felt sick to my stomach. Folks, do not ever make a shake like this. Even if it sounds good. It isn’t. Some things should never be meshed together. Ever.

I could have swore that I posted the video on my site already but after a bit of checking, I hadn’t. I tried to recreate the event again with another shake but the originality and love just didn’t shine through.

Please enjoy the video. I enjoyed the shake.

May Stats – Part I: Drinks

The month began like any other. I drink what I wanted. I ate what ever I felt like. God gave me this amazing gift of staying fit. Deal with it, mofo’s. I had a couple of attacks last month. I was determined to figure out what was causing it. I ruled out work. At first, I thought it was. Work is effin’ crazy. It’s a damn soap opera around there. I’ll save that for another post. Hell, with the amount of hoopla that goes on daily, I’d probably need an entire blog dedicated just to everyone’s antics.

Aside from work, I was still unsure. Could it be the food I eat? Could it be cause I smoke? Maybe the amount of soda I drink? I do drink a lot of soda. Tallying up January to April, I had a total of 222 servings.

Holy Carbonated Drinks, Batman!

Sometime during the month, I thought I needed to fix that. I drop the soda for a week. I know. I would have gone longer but I didn’t. I had no real excuse as to why I did. I wasn’t having caffeine withdrawls. Even when I went back to drinking it, I haven’t had any attacks. So I don’t think it’s the soda. But maybe, just maybe, it’s water. I don’t drink water. Read back at all the logs. I hardly drink it. But I have continued to drink it each night before bed. I take my pills and a small glass of water each night. If anything, I can say drinking water is keeping me alive. Let’s jump to the log. What crazy crap did I put in my body this time?

Coffee:

I still drink a lot of coffee. It’s the one drink I will never rid myself of. My mother drank coffee for years. She lost the taste of this delicious beverage when she was pregnant with my older sister. Thankfully, I am a man.  For the month of May, I had a total of 69 coffees. To break it down,

  • 3 of those were large Starbucks coffees. I don’t miss Starbucks. I am not trying to save money. I just don’t drink it as much. How is that for starting with about 26 the start of the year?
  • 57 of those were coffees I had at work. I grab a cup every morning I get to work. I usually cap it off at 2 but some days, I’ll get three. When I do, I break my rule of using public restrooms.
    • 54 of those were regular coffees. It’s an 8oz. serving.
    • 2 of those were dark roast coffees. I am not a fan of this kind of coffee. I don’t like strong coffee. It hurts my chest and it makes my heart race. Funny how I was able to drink 2 or 3 energy drinks in one day and feel nothing but give me a bold coffee and I feel like I want to die.
    • 1 was a decaf coffee. We were out of regular coffee at the moment. I wanted coffee and didn’t want to wait.
  • 4 of the coffees were my Foldger’s  I drink at home. I am out at the moment and haven’t restocked my cabinet. If I had, the amount would be more.
  • 5 of these were coffees at Bob Evans. It’s tough to measure these when they constantly come by and refill my cup. Look. I just took a sip. I don’t need a refill. I want to finish my cup, log it, and then you can refill it. But it’s okay I guess. I manage to estimate the amount I drink.

Soda:

At one point during the month, I wanted to see if soda was the reason for my attacks. I did go a week without soda and I didn’t have one. I fell off the wagon and went back to drinking soda. I still have yet to have an attack. They are still random. Hopefully I will eventually discover what’s causing it.

This month, I had a total of 44 sodas. Quite impressive I must say. To date, I have had a total of,  266 sodas. That’s everything, from cans of coke to the drinks I have at work.

  • 41 of the sodas I drank were Coke.
    • 17 of those Cokes, I had on break at work. Out of 15 days, I only went for a second cup on 1 day.
    • 19 of those were cans of Coke.
    • 2 of those were from McDonald’s
      • 1 was a large Coke
      • 1 was a medium Coke
    • 1 was a large Coke from Burger King
    • 2 were from the local movie theatre. I went to see, “Iron Man II” and “Shrek 4”.
  • The last 3 were Pepsi.
    • 1 was from Philly Time
    • 1 was from a trip to Popeye’s (the clean one)
    • 1 was from Pizza Street

Juice:

I drank just this month but not as much I did the month before. In the month of April, I had 10. This month, I had 5.

  • 4 of those Orange Juices.
    • 2 were had when I made my monthly (sometimes bi-monthly) trip to Bob Evans.
    • 2 were 16 oz. bottles of Minute Maid Orange Juices.
  • 1 was a 16 oz. bottle of Minute Maid Cranberry Grape Juice.

Alcohol:

I looked at my stats and it seems I drank more than I thought I did. Maybe it was the bottle or two I would enjoy after a drama filled day at work. No matter. I am not going to cut this out of my life. I like vices. Miami especially. This month, I had 49 liver ruining alcoholic beverages.

  • 4 of those were shots of Captain Morgan Lime. It’s new to me. I don’t know where I stand on it quite yet. I mean, I like it but it has a strong lime flavor. I guess it’ll get you to drink more without knowing how much it’s inebriating you.
  • 45 were Bud Lights.
    • 41 of those, were long neck bottles I had at home. Much more than last months, 23.
    • 4 of those, I had at 54 Street Bar & Grill. (or is it, Grill and Bar?)
      • 1 was a small mug.
      • 3 were tall mugs.

Milk:

I do enjoy a nice pint of milk every so often during a slow period of my morning. I get to work early. I work my ass off for 5 hours. After things slow down and I get cleaned up, I stroll over and get a milk and sometimes I’ll enjoy yogurt with it or get a bagel. There is no formula to it. It’s just a spur of the moment kind of thing. This month I had 10. It’s the same amount I had last month too.

  • 9 of them were chocolate.
  • 1 was a white milk.

I was a big milk drinker when I younger. I don’t crave it much any more. I tried white milk and it was nasty. I don’t know why. I loved milk. Chocolate milk is better. It isn’t great for you but anything that taste good is never good for you.

Water:

Did I really drink that much water this month!? Did water finally make the upper portion of my list of drinks I had the current month. You bet it did! This might be the reasoning behind the whole attack fiasco I go through. Since I have started to drink water on a regular basis, I haven’t had attacks. I have a water every night before bed. Let me tally up all the water I have had for the year. January through April, I had a total of 16 1/3 glasses of water. Last month, I had 25. I had more this month than I did the first 3 month of the year. Let me break it down for ya,

  • 7 of the waters I had at work on break.
  • 2 were had at the local “54” when I was Mcdrinking.
  • 16 were 8oz. tumbler size waters.

Etc…

Here is the rest of the items I drank this month. I was debating if I should have added my fruit drinks to the list. I mean, I did have a number of those. But I am not sure if it’ll become a regular thing for me. If it does, then it will move to the upper section of the food log.

  • 1 was a glass of pink lemonade I had at home.
  • 6 were fruit drinks.
    • 3 were Fruit Punch Powerades.
      • 2 were 32oz. sizes.
      • 1 was a 20oz. size.
    • 3 were Fruit Punch Gatorades.
      • 2 were 32oz. sizes.
      • 1 was a 20oz. size.

That ends the stats for what I drank last month. Sorry for delaying this stats. I would say I was busy but that would be a lie. I was lazy. Maybe a little busy. But I was more lazy than anything. I cannot say when the food stats will be posted but they will. Keep looking. Thanks for reading.

April Stats – Part I: Drinks

I noticed as I collected all the data for this past month, I am not doing anything good to my body. I don’t eat right. I don’t drink right. It’s amazing that with the crap I put in my body, I still stay slim. Everyone says when I hit 40, it’ll come to haunt me. It’s okay. I have 10 more years to improve my eating habits. I am four months into the year and I still log it all. Pretty impressive, huh? Enough of this babbling. Let me show you the stats for the crap I drank.

Coffee:

This month, I had a total of 70 3/4 coffees. Damn. Even with me cutting back on starbucks coffee, I still somehow drink too much. I love coffee though. It’s a nice pick me up. I can drink coffee about any time of the day. It’s even more than what I had at the start of the year. In January, I had 61.  Not that much more but compared to last month (51), I am not doing anything good. To break it down,

  • 6 of those were Starbucks. Now that is impressive. Last month I had 12 and before that, I had 26.

    • 2 of those, were small coffees.
    • 4 were the largest size.

If I keep the math the same (not changing the fact that 2 were smaller size, meaning cheaper, I’ll keep it at the base price of $2.19)

6 x $2.19 = $13.14

  • This month, I had a staggering amount of coffee at work. This is something I really need to ease up on. I mean, look at last month. I had 5. This month I had, 44. I am not even going to do the math. You can see for yourself the huge increase. I can’t help it! I just love coffee. Maybe I can try (and when I say, try, I mean not to) to ease up and only get one cup a day. Who knows. I’m sure it won’t happen.
  • I made 2 trips to Bob Evans this month. I had a total of 5 3/4 cups. That seems about average. I don’t stay there very long. Plus for some reason, their coffee makes me sleepy.
  • The rest of my coffee is drank at home. I have my instant Foldger’s coffee I drink almost every day. Sometime I drink it twice a day. These came to total of, 19.

Soda:

I am still going to drink soda no matter how much I say I won’t. Sure the sugar and other additives are eating away at my insides. It’s like a liquid carnivorous earwig. Last month, I had 56. This month, I had 61. And where did I get all these sodas at? Let me show you.

  • 58 of those were Coke.
    • 28 of those Cokes, were had on break at work.
      • Out of 18 days, 10 days consisted of me having 2 on break
    • 23 of those were cans of coke
    • 2 were from McDonald’s
    • 2 were from Burger King
    • 1 was a small 12oz. glass from work
    • The last 2 were from a trip to a local BBQ restaurant.
  • 3 of those were Pepsi
    • 1 from Philly Time
    • 1 from Popeye’s Chicken
    • 1 from Ming Garden

Juice:

I was on a juice kick last month. I was hoping to keep doing it but no. Like every goal I make with this log, I don’t keep it.This month I had a total of  10 juices.

  • 8 of those juices were Orange Juice
    • 2 were from my trip to Bob Evans
    • 1 was a tall glass of Orange Juice at my moms (she made a delicious breakfast! Free too!)
    • 1 was a 15.2 oz Minute Maid bottle (it was my sister’s birthday. I treated it. Great brother right here!)
    • The final 4 were small 10oz bottles
  • 2 were 10oz. bottles of Minute Maid Mixed Berry

Alcohol:

How I missed you. Last month I had 40. This month I had, 25. I was really hoping that being alone again, I would kill my liver in month. But, no. I am cut back on my alcohol and I don’t know why. Hopefully I can get my groove back. If Stella can, anything is possible.

  • 23 of my measly 25 were Bud Light bottles.
  • The final 2 were Schlitz.

Milk:

I feel as if I have more milk this month than I have in the last 10 years of my life. I usually grab a milk in the morning when I get muffins or donuts to snack on. It’s some pretty damn good milk too.I had a total of 10 milks.

  • Those 10 milks were all chocolate milks. The brand? Belfonte! Eff Tea Double You.

Etc…

To finish off the stats for drinks, here it my Etc… list.

  • 3 8oz. cups of water.
    • 1 was when I began to have an anxiety attack. I am still clueless as to what brings them on. I was at Target buying a few things. Picked up some toothpaste, a candy bar and a toilet brush. Now if my buying a toilet brush its that serious it brought on an attack, I have issues.
    • The other 2 were when I took some Valerian Root pills. They say it helps with stress/anxiety.

And that is it folks! That is the stats for the month of April. I don’t see much difference in what I drink. Only upside is the amount of Starbucks I have cut back on. At the start of the year I had 25 Starbucks. This month it was 6. Impressive my young Padawan.
