Zombies and Billiards

I had a dream last night. It’s not odd for me to have a dream. I just thought I would mention it since this post is going to be about another weird dream of mine. I don’t think there is ever a time when my dreams aren’t weird. You’re welcome to go back and read some of them. I promise you, each one is a little more eff’ed up than the next. While most of my dreams are lengthy, this one is not. It is a pretty short dream but that’s okay. It doesn’t change the fact that it will leave you scratching your head in disbelief. Let me set up the dream.

He looks at me and takes a whiff. It’s like a dog whiffing his owner.  I can hear the gargling blood and smell a decaying odor inside his rotting mouth. I just keep thinking to myself, “Don’t move. Don’t f**king move.”

I am a warehouse of some sort. You can say it is a grocery store but from how it was stocked and how the aisles were open wide, it’s hard to call it a ‘supermarket’. So I am at this warehouse. I am pushing a shopping cart. The cart isn’t full. I grab 3 bags of chips and toss them in my cart. There is a lady around me. She is rude but never says anything to me. It was more of how she acted. I know her and I ran into each other with our carts but I don’t recall any words being exchange between us.

I continue shopping. I feel as if I need to hurry up and finish shopping. I don’t know why but there is this feeling that I need to finish and go about my business. I grab this giant palm tree. It’s not real. It’s life-size but like I said, it is completely fake. It’s in my cart and it leaves me no room to continue my shopping. I need to head out and pay for this items. I walk away and notice a stick of butter on the floor. I get close to it and there is a man crouched down behind a pool table. He’s hiding. He is breathing heavy and sweating. He looks at me. The guy is Rick Grimes from Walking Dead. He orders me to get on the table and play dead.

“Don’t move! Just act dead and they’ll leave you alone.”

I get on the table. I am there, laying on my side. My heart is racing. I can see a zombie approaching me. I don’t want to be noticed and know that I don’t want to be his dinner. I take a deep breath and hold it in. I don’t breathe one ounce of air. I am there. I keep motionless. The zombie is eye to eye with me. He looks at me and takes a whiff. It’s like a dog whiffing his owner.  I can hear the gargling blood and smell a decaying odor inside his rotting mouth. I just keep thinking to myself, “Don’t move. Don’t f**king move.” I don’t but my eyes do. My eyes follow the zombie’s eyes. They follow him and he looks at me up and down. He studies me, debating whether or not if I am truly dead or just faking it. I worry that he will notice my eyes move. I know he sees them moving but he doesn’t do anything.

As I lay on the pool table, I see the zombie open his mouth and growl. The zombie fades away slowly. My eyes focus now on the empty and bare wall in my bedroom. I am awake. I am not dreaming anymore. I am safe from the zombie that was waiting for me to goof. One slight move of my finger or a twitch of my nose, I will end of getting torn to shreds by the undead creature just inches from me. All a dream. There is no zombie. I checked. The closet was empty and nothing was under the bed. I am safe…but for how long?

So the dream wasn’t long like the others but it was still pretty weird. I don’t know what to make of it. Looking back at the dream, here are the items that stood out the most.

  • palm tree
  • butter
  • zombie
  • pool table
  • shopping cart
  • holding my breath

Below are what the above items mean according to the numerous dream interpretations sites.

Palm Tree: Palm trees seen in your dreams, are messages of hopeful situations and happiness of a high order.

Butter: To see or taste butter in your dream, suggests that you are looking to be gratified in some area of your life. You need to indulge yourself in life’s pleasure.

Zombie: …a zombie means that you are feeling dead inside. You are just going through the motions of daily living.

Pool Table: To see a pool table in your dream suggests that you need to show more cooperation. Perhaps you need to “pool” your efforts together.

Shopping Cart: … to push a shopping cart in your dream suggests that you need to search out more options for some aspect of your life.

Holding My Breath: To dream that you are holding your breath indicates your stubborn state of mind. Your views are too one-sided. The dream is telling you to be more open to the opinions of others.

So that you have it. That was my dream last night. I am going to piece this all together. You’re welcome to leave a comment below and say what you think it may mean. I highly doubt it means anything but it is always fun to see what they say dreams mean.

So the dream I had is telling me that my life is pretty boring. I am just doing the same old thing everyday. I don’t change. I could change and indulge myself in life’s pleasures and find other aspects in life but I don’t. I am too stubborn to do anything about it and will not listen to people when they give me their opinion. It’s almost as if I am fine and dandy with just being and leading a boring, mundane life.

Drop my a comment and let me know what you think this dream means. If you don’t think it means anything, then still tell me about a dream you had that made no sense.
