Hobo With A Windbreaker

It has been a long time since I’ve posted a dream. I am shocked to say that I haven’t been dreaming as often as I normally do. Every so often a strange dream will happen but it is short and not worth posting. I went to bed early last night. Not sure why I did. I normally stay up late and find something to do to entertain me. Be it booze, television  or maybe a movie. But that didn’t happen. I took to my bed about six in the evening and within 10 minutes, I was out. I was out and in dreamland. Below is the dream I had. It was the first thing I did when I woke up around 9:30 that same night. Don’t worry. I went back to bed. Slept like a baby. Twas nice. Enough of me rambling. Go ahead and read the dream and like always, I will visit dreammoods for the meaning behind it.

I am driving down a road heading somewhere. I look to my left and I see a Schwans truck pass me. The light goes from green to yellow, from yellow to red, and then I brake. The light is red and I sit at the light, keeping myself amused by the morning Deejays on the radio. The DJ is talking about gas station that closed up. They are talking about it like it was some great and iconic part of the city. It was strange that they were discussing that very thing because I’m by said station. I begin to reminisce about the past and I recall a Dunkin Donuts being close  by and a Kum n Go gas station on other side of the street, which was actually smack in the middle of a suburban neighborhood.

Asian Cowboy

There is an Asian man dressed in a silver and sparkly, cowboy suit. There are other people dressed in costumes and other odd get ups but I cannot recall all that I saw. The Asian cowboy was the only one I remember. Besides, there was another group of people proceeding from a building further down the road. They appear to be high school graduates. Each one is dressed in blue. I am now out of my car and walking down the road, following the graduating seniors to the same place they’re headed. I approach one of them. I ask the kid if he wants to switch roles. I tell him,

You can take the test and I’ll graduate for you.

He and other kids laughs and  he declines my offer. I arrive at some house. It reminds me a school cafeteria. Not sure as to where I was but like I said, it looked and felt like I was in a school lunch room. While browsing through some cabinets, a homeless man walks into the room. I shouldn’t call the man homeless because I was never told and it was never mentioned in my dream if the man was homeless. I am saying he was because of his appearance. The man was dirty. He looked rough and if anything in society and how to be judgmental of people and their appearance, I will say he was a hobo. The hobo was dressed in a blue windbreaker. He was asking for some medication. Another woman in the room tells me to get him the medicine he is asking for. I open the door to another pantry and inside are blue containers that look like axe hair gel containers. They are blue containers and each one is a slight different hue from each other. This is letting me know that the top shelf is for the mono(something)ene, the middle shelf for the bi(something)ene, and the bottom shelf for the third brand of this medication.

The hobo in the blue windbreaker is demanding the medication. I don’t see what he wants and the lady in the room with me points to the top shelf. The hobo in the windbreaker does too. IHomeless Man toss the canister to him. He leaves the room and retreats to the restroom. I walk out of the lunchroom and I come to a wall with a red velvet curtain covering it. Sitting on a shelf is a can of Pepsi. It is talking about the man and that what I just did was wrong. It didn’t tell me whether or not if the hobo in the blue windbreaker was in fact a real hobo. It mentioned nothing about his living situation. It did, however, tell me that he is a bad man with a drug problem. He has rotten teeth that are not real but made out of wood, just like George Washington had. He was a possible hobo with a drug problem and a rotted set of wooden teeth. There is a long stretched out note attached to the can with the description that reads, this is why our kids hate us.

After reading the note and knowing that I made a horrible mistake, I vowed to not let this hobo with rotten wooden teeth to leave. I paced back and forth in an empty room. It was long and narrow, kind of like a hallway. I just paced and waited for him to exit the bathroom. Finally, the door did open. He walks out. He isn’t carrying the blue canister. I take it that he has it hidden in his windbreaker. He tells me that he needs to go to his to get something out. I wasn’t going to let him do that. I ran over to him and tackled him as he walked up some stairs, trying to leave with the medication. I yell at him repeatedly to, Give it back! After some time, he folds and tosses the medication to me. I go back down to call my sister because, well, I don’t know. I just had to call her. I page her over the loud speaker. I scream out, 153 but when I look at the phone, the number 405 is printed on it. Before I could try and call her again, she appears from an elevator. She is standing there and she is pregnant. She isn’t full blown with a baby ready to pop out but she has a bump that clearly shows she is about to be a mommy again. The crazed hobo with the wooden and rotted teeth appears. I grab a bag full of the medication and toss it in the elevator to my sister. Two of the canisters fall out but I quickly and like a ninja, I kick them towards my sister as the door to the elevator closes.

There is a fierce storm coming. I am on the porch with the hobo with the rotten, wooden teeth. It’s cold out here and I think about starting a fire in the fireplace. I want to but I feel like I need to ask my sister but she is not here. She is in the elevator with the medication. I need her approval before I light the logs. We retreat (hobo and I) inside to the hallway-like room. Outside, there is a gust of wind and it blows over some wooden chairs. One of the chairs is smashed to bits and looking at it, it will not be able to be fixed. Showing up out of nowhere is my pregnant sister. She is worried that the chair that got ruined by the storm is her husband’s favorite chair. It is his favorite because the chair was a gift from his mother. But no need to fret. It was not the chair he holds dear to his heart. It was just a normal, boring wooden chair. The storm continues and we close the doors to the deck. The wind is knocking things all around. The rain starts falling. Outside looks like a hurricane. The rain is heavy and coming down hard. I look out of a window and I see my car and wonder about the windows. I wonder if I remembered to roll them up. I was quite worried about them being up or down. Being the nice guy with a big heart, I then worry about the wooden teeth guy’s car if his windows were up or down.

Dreammoods to the rescue!

Driving/Stoplight: To dream that you are driving a vehicle signifies your life’s journey and your path in life. The dream is telling of how you are moving and navigating through life. Since I was driving and was at a stoplight, To see a stoplight in your dream suggests that you feel you are being held back from pursuing your goals. Your forward progress is being controlled by someone or by some outside forces. In other words, you are not in control of your own life. Alternatively, the dream represents the pressure to succeed or else be left behind.

Gas Station: To dream that you are at a gas station indicates a need to reenergize and revitalize yourself. You may be running low on energy and need to take time out to refuel. The dream also represents your ability to convert outside resources and use it for your own needs. Alternatively, dreaming that you are in a gas station means that you need to reach out to others and offer your help.

Asian Cowboy Dressed In Silver: To see an Asian person in your dream represents an aspect of your own self that is unknown to you. Since he was a cowboy, To see or dream that you are a cowboy symbolizes masculinity, ruggedness, and toughness. You are in control of your animalistic and instinctual side. To see silver in your dream symbolizes the moon, intuition and the feminine aspects of yourself. It signifies tranquility and understated confidence. It also means, Silver represents justice and purity. It is symbolic of some protective energy.

Graduation: To see someone in a cap and gown in your dream symbolizes your successes and accomplishments.

Wooden & Rotted Teeth: To dream that you have rotten or decaying teeth implies that you may have said something that you shouldn’t have. You may have uttered some false or foul words and those words are coming back to haunt you. To dream of wood, suggests that you are feeling dead and emotionless inside. Your behavior is too automated.

Medication: To dream that you are giving medicine to someone indicates that you are trying to take advantage of a situation or of someone.

Pregnant: To dream that someone else is pregnant indicates that you are experiencing a closer connection to this person.

Broken Chair: To see a chair in your dream symbolizes your need to sit down and take time out to contemplate a situation before proceeding. Or you just need to relax. Alternatively, it indicates that your feelings or ideas are being dismissed or cast to the side. Since the chair was broken,  To dream that objects around you are breaking suggests that you are under tremendous stress. The dream could be a metaphor that you are literally at your breaking point.

Storm: To see a storm in your dream signifies some overwhelming struggle, shock, loss or catastrophe in your waking life. The storm also represents unexpressed fears or emotions, such as anger, rage, turmoil, etc. On a more positive note, the storm symbolizes your rising spirituality. It may signal rapid changes ahead for you. To dream that you take cover in a storm foretells that whatever disturbance or problems is occurring in your life will quickly blow over. Consider also the phrase “weather the storm”, which refers to your ability and strength to withstand whatever comes.

Blue: Blue represents truth, wisdom, heaven, eternity, devotion, tranquility, loyalty and openness. Perhaps you are expressing a desire to get away. The presence of this color in your dream, may symbolize your spiritual guide and your optimism of the future. You have clarity of mind. Alternatively, the color blue may also be a metaphor for “being blue” and feeling sad.

That covers my dream last night. It sounds depressing. No idea what I should make of it. I will say that this is the second time a blue jacket has shown up in my dream. The other one was here. I must like blue jackets.
