Local DJ’s & The Chef With Banana Hair

Looks like it happened again. A dream I had today. I had to quickly write it down. Below is the dream. Enjoy.

I was at my friend’s work. It wasn’t really his but it was his wife’s place of business. The floor we were on had a great view of the city and we can see pretty much everything, along with a monument that is 300 miles away from where I live. She is standing near a set of windows that stretch from one end of her enormous office to the other. The office is just shy of being empty. There is a plant in the corner of the room. It looks fake. It is tallish, sitting in your typical brown pot, and the leaves are a bright neon color that gives me the impression that this said plant is fake. She is standing still. Her stance reminds me of a teapot but only if a teapot wore jeans and a purple shirt that is pastel in color. She is smiling and laughing slightly. She is talking to me about the building being on lockdown not because of the bomb threat that came in earlier today but because as she put it,

Something to do with working with excel.

Seems legit. Excel is a tricking thing to get ahold of. I am not fully listening to her. What she said about the lockdown, the bomb threat, and excel may not be exactly what she said. I was too busy trying to see the skyline behind her. I was determined to see the roller coasters but with a tree blocking the view, seeing much of anything aside from the 300 mile away St. Louis Arch seemed damn near impossible.  I am not fazed by her story and the lockdown. I need to leave and not sure why. Her husband is next to me and for some reason, he disappears and doesn’t show up again in my dream.

96.5 The BuzzI was on one of the high floors but now I am outside the building trying to fight my way back in. The elevator is locked by an iron gate. I am sticking my arm through it and reaching for the buttons. Behind me, three kids appear. They all look the same but each are different sizes. If you have ever seen Village of the Damned, then you know what I am talking about. That is how the kids looked but apart from the kids having blank and empty stares in the movie, the trio of kids behind me were laughing and running around on sugar highs. They were dressed in yellow trunks and each of them were wearing orange, floatation devices. They were pestering me about needing to get to the 9th floor to see their dad. I wasn’t wanting the ninth floor. I wanted the 198th floor. One of the little kids reached easily between the gate and pressed not the button for the 9th floor but the button for the 8th. The panel on the elevator was missing quite a number of the floors. It wasn’t like they were blanked out. They were just missing and the panel wasn’t in any order. The numbers were scattered about, looking much like someone took a scrabble bag and poured the tiles out haphazardly.

Inside the elevator, we were all headed to the 9th floor to see their dad, Lazlo, a local DJ of an alternative radio station. I didn’t say anything to them and they said nothing to me. Pulling a David Copperfield, another DJ from the same station randomly appears inside the elevator car with the four of us. Danny Boi, dressed in a white shirt and tattered jeans, is screaming at me,

Give me your god damn phone!

He is yammering away about needing to use twitter to contact some very important people. I am messing with my iPhone because I don’t want him to hijack my twitter account. I am pressing the angry bird icon profusely before Danny swipes the phone from my hand. He presses the home button and demand Siri to,

Contact, Them.

Siri beeps and a television screen appears on the car with us. He is speaking with two guys from the G4 network. They are looking all hipster and laughing with (or at) Danny about the strange request he is asking them. Danny is wanting them to send a cake to a chef he knows. I don’t recall what he wanted the cake to say but from sounds of the 3 kids giggling and the antics he usually does on the morning show, can only mean it would be extremely funny to a group of pre-pubescents boys.The two guys from G4 post a picture of the chef on the screen. The chef is a large man. His hair is black and the hair is in style of a young Shirley Temple but resembled the look of bananas more than carefully constructed mound of curls. His face was dirty from years of acne problems and his mustache was nothing but a broken twix bar attached to his upper lip. He was made out of food. For some reason, I was able to smell him. He even smelled like food. He was a chef with banana hair and a twix mustache.

/end dream.

I never did get to the 198th floor. The three kids never saw their dad and Danny never did get that cake sent to the chef with the banana hair. I woke up before any of these were answered. I did wake up with the thought of Dubai and wondered if I was on the top of their tallest building, would five countries be clearly visible?

A strange dream that I just had. I literally just woke up and this is the first thing I did. I didn’t want to forget this dream. It wasn’t as strange as the others but I figured I needed something to write, so why not write about this? I shall pick out some key memories from the dream and I shall turn to Dreammoods and see if they think otherwise.

  • elevator
  • friend
  • the number 8, 9, and 198
  • iron gate
  • banana hair
  • skyscraper
  • chef

and these mean…

Elevator: To dream that you are ascending in an elevator represents a rise to status and wealth. You may have risen to a higher level of consciousness and are looking at the world from an elevated viewpoint. If the elevator is moving upward in an out of control fashion or it crashes through the roof, then it indicates that you are being catapulted to a position of power in which you do not yet know how to deal with. You are afraid of the new responsibilities ahead for you. Descending in an elevator suggests that you are being grounded or coming back down to reality. It also signifies setbacks and misfortunes.

Friend: To see friends in your dream signify aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to incorporate and acknowledge. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Alternatively, dreaming of a friend indicates positive news.

Numbers 8, 9, & 198: Dreammoods doesn’t have numbers but going to a site about what numbers mean in dreams, I found this. If you see the number 8 in a dream, The number meanings of eight talks to us about cycles of time, and the infinite nature of life. When we dream of the number eight it is a deeper message from our soul that says “all is well, you are always protected, and infinitely cared for by the Universe.” Eight is actually a ‘thumbs up’ from the Universe. It is a sign that everything will work out, and your eternal nature is true nature. The next two numbers, 9 and 198 are the same. To get 198, you had to make it a single digit number. Take the number and add it together till you reach a single number. 1+9+8=18 1+8=9. So, dreaming of nine means, Dreaming of number nine indicates you are on the precipice of a new adventure. It the last number before reaching completion (number 10), and so it hints to the ending of one phase of life while en route to the next stage. Interestingly, nines also talk about happy returns. In dreams, number nine asks our attention to spiral back into our source – the true core of who we are in order to know our value. Essentially, it asks us to get back to our roots.

Iron Gate: To see a closed gate in your dream signifies your inability to overcome current difficulties. If you are unable to open the gate, then it indicates that your hard work will be seen as unsatisfactory. It may also mean that you are not ready or not prepared to move on to the next step. Iron: To see iron metal in your dream symbolizes harshness, anger, aggression, ruthlessness, and conflict. On a positive note, it may signify strength, endurance, and willpower.

Banana Hair: To see bananas in your dream, may be a metaphor for repressed sexual urges and desires. It is a phallic symbol and represents masculine sexuality. Hair: To see hair in your dream signifies sexual virility, seduction, sensuality, vanity, and health.

Skyscraper: To see a skyscraper in your dream represents your high ideals, creativity, accomplishments and imagination. You always aim high at whatever you do. The skyscraper is seen as a metaphor for the foresights and achievements of man. Alternatively, the dream represents the phallus.

Chef: To see a chef in your dream represents transformation and changes. Consider what is “cooking” in your life?

There you go. Another dream.
